FLUID COUPLING

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
 - A fluid coupling is a hydrodynamic device used to transmit power between two rotating shafts. It consists of an input (driving) shaft connected to a pump, an output (driven) shaft connected to a turbine, and a working fluid contained within the coupling.

 - When the input shaft rotates, it drives the pump, which imparts kinetic energy to the working fluid. The fluid is then directed towards the turbine, which is connected to the output shaft. As the fluid flows through the turbine, it transfers its energy to the turbine and causes it to rotate, thereby transmitting power to the output shaft.

 - The key characteristic of a fluid coupling is its ability to provide a smooth start-up and gradual acceleration. As the input shaft starts rotating, the working fluid gradually builds up speed and transfers the torque to the output shaft.
